Image Cropper
Crop images to an exact size or aspect ratio.
Resize one image or hundreds at once. Set an exact width and height, scale by percentage or cap the longest side, and get sharp results without uploading anything.
How it works
Drop in your images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG or HEIC. Add as many as you like.
Choose how to resize: longest side, width × height, or a percentage. Pick a format if you want to change it.
Download each resized image, or all of them as a zip. Change a setting to resize the batch again.
About this tool
Photos from phones and cameras are often 4000 pixels wide or more, far bigger than a website, email or document needs. Resizing them to the size they'll actually be shown at makes files dramatically smaller, pages load faster and uploads succeed.
Simple resizers scale an image down in a single step, which can leave it jagged or shimmering. This tool downsizes in stages, halving the size until it's close to the target, which keeps edges and fine detail crisp. Resize by longest side to fit a whole batch of mixed portrait and landscape photos into the same box.
Longest side, exact width × height, or a percentage.
When both width and height are set, fit inside, crop to fill, or stretch.
Resize a whole folder at once and download a zip.
Smaller images are left at their size unless you choose otherwise.
FAQ
Use Longest side, or set only a width or only a height; the other side is calculated to keep the aspect ratio. If you set both, choose Fit inside or Fill and crop rather than Stretch.
Full-width images rarely need to be wider than 1920–2560 pixels; images inside an article usually look sharp at 1200–1600 pixels. Then use the Image Compressor to reduce file size further.
Yes, usually a lot. Halving the width and height cuts the number of pixels to a quarter, and the file size drops roughly in proportion.
Yes. Untick Don't enlarge smaller images. Enlarging can't add real detail, so heavily upscaled images will look soft.
